The Grimoire Edition
This should be of interest to you all.
So this one is a bit of a story. I met Claudia from Creative Quest at UK Games Expo back in June. Creative Quest is a UK based small business that specialises in custom and luxury bookbinding. I gave them my personal copy of Best Left Buried: Deeper (and a bit of money) with the instructions to 'make it look like it had come out of a wizard's grave' and they gave me back this: The Grimoire.
The Grimoire has the same interiors as Best Left Buried: Deeper, but it's bound in a distressed and textured leather, ornamented with a bunch of lovely metallic bits, and debossed so there's a bloomin' spade on it. It even has a little book clasp to keep it shut. We waxed and stained the edge of the pages so it looks OLD, but the interior is the same old Deeper Edition you know and love.
If you want your own copy, you can pledge for one on the project. They're expensive and limited in quantity, but that's because it's a beautiful handmade custom object with pricey materials and no small amount of labour. Kickstarter also take a handy 10% cut.
We'll be offering them in the brown (above) and the alternative choice of two more leathers (red and black). We're just making 10 for now, but if demand goes off the charts we might offer more of them.
In this adventure, the Cryptdiggers are hired to reclaim a wizard’s stolen property: bandits hijacked a shipment of potions to their dilapidated fort half a day’s ride from the city. Retrieving the box of special black-bottled potions is paramount—anything else is simply useful to sell.

In other SoulMuppet news, we're hard at work on a new Best Left Buried book, THE THRONE OF AVARICE, which is going to go on Kickstarter next week. It's about Calmyn, one of the Thirteen Duchies, where the seats of colonialist power that fund and hire the Cryptdiggers sit. It's a big book (60,000 words!) about the evils of capitalism and colonialism, and contains brilliant art and writing by Brian Yaksha. Drop us a follow on Kickstarter!
It contains tons of random tables for character, company and campaign creation. It'll be a great book to stitch together your Doom to Speak adventures, or build a new campaign by itself.

You didn't back for this one, but I'm giving it out anyway. Monster Manual author Nick Spence has panned A Garden Most Foul, a horrific adventure containing some fairly obvious inspiration from everyone's favourite plague god of chaos.

It's that time of year again and we're running another crowdfunding project.
Gangs of Titan City is a new grimdark future roleplaying game from SoulMuppet. Thrusting its characters into a nightmare supercity that wants them dead, Gangs of Titan City casts your players as desperate gutterscum who will soon dominate the underworld as crimelords or end up dead. The game helps you create stories in the vein of Peaky Blinders, Scarface or Blades in the Dark, but cast into a brutal and uncompromising urban future.

Final Fulfilment Update

Hey all,
I think everyone should have received their book, or if not some tracking info by now.
Uploading tracking to BackerKit has been very painful, it took about 6 hours work and a back and worth email chain with the support team at BackerKit.
Some of you might have received shipping data just now for books received in September or earlier, and if so I really apologise for the inconvenience. There's no way to different dates in the protocol, so I've just sent everyone who has it already shipping.
If you're missing tracking info, or a book, and want it, please email me at [email protected] (including your pledge level and country) and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Kickstarter messages are useless and very difficult to manage, email is the best way to get me.

Hey everyone,
Very short fulfilment update.
All non-US backers should have their books by now, and a number of US backers should have had their books with a few exception below:
If you are in the US and ordered a Beneath the Missing Sea or a Stygian Library, these orders are being fulfilled from the UK as we don't have stocks of either of these books stateside.
If you are in the US and ordered any of three stretch goals zines, we're still waiting on our printers for these. They should arrive in the next few days, and reach you in the early New Year.
If you haven't received your books yet, please wait until the New Year and then send us an email.
